Hello and welcome to my website for counselling in and around Staveley, Chesterfield, Mansfield and Worksop

My name is Lorna and I have been working as a counsellor since 2013 and prior to that I studied full-time as a mature student and worked part-time and volunteered, alongside being a single mum. With a background in veterinary nursing, mental health, community care, hospice and sessional counselling, I have walked a varied path to get to where I am today. I tell you this, so you know I'm just like most people who travel through life with ups and downs along the way, not always having a clear path ahead but gaining useful life skills along the way. I was fortunate to have some fantastic counselling support 20 years ago which changed my life for the better and fuels my passion today for counselling.

I am committed to providing affordable and flexible counselling for the people of Chesterfield, Mansfield and Worksop, which is why I offer different counselling mediums. Whether you chose face-to-face, telephone or online, you will be in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

I believe no problem is too big or too small that doesn't benefit from having someone by your side to help you explore your options.

People accessing counselling or therapy often have a specific reason or combination of stressors which have become overwhelming and they feel they have nowhere else to turn.
However, some people may benefit from counselling as a regular place to offload - maybe once a month - and to help maintain a sense of equilibrium in their life.

I can work with you on an open-ended basis or regular sessions, which ever suits you and with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.

If having looked at my website, you are still unsure if counselling/therapy is for you but would like to discuss it further please contact me by phone or email - details can be found on the side bar to your right.
